I can’t believe it’s the weekend already. Did something happen this week that i lost track of some days? i need to check my schedule to explain how all of a sudden Friday came out of nowhere. Maybe it has been the now approaching its 3rd day discussion Jim and i have been having on if mushrooms have brains. It probably means i need a break from being out thought by jim, so i am going to go to philly and enjoy some funk noise. Find something to do: here is the gothamlist for a start.

Last night, jim and i went to the mandingo ambassadors show in park slope and i HIGHLY recommend them. They play every wednesday, the room was packed, everyone was dancing, and it was worth the trek across the boros. trust me. it is so great hearing a music tradition so close to my own (haitian). i am so curious how it possibly was transported and sustained from africa. if it has common roots or that it was real time influence. one word for this crew. TIGHT. TIIIIIGGGHHHTTTT. Here is the gothamlist. Note the comedy show listed. Looks GOOD.
