Event: SciCafe: Exoplanets and the search for life in the universe

I have been getting news of events through our info email account, which is great. If you ever have anything you think i might find interested related to art and science culture, let me know. SciCafe, is bringing in NASA Astrophyscist Ben Oppenheimer to talk about the planets that populate the infinite space outside of our solar system. The search and mapping of ”M planets” that may lead to finding life on other worlds might just be, you never know, a very exciting and interesting lecture. It’s at AMNH too. Large X-class Flare Erupts on the Sun
On Jan. 27, 2012, a large X-class flare erupted from an active region near the solar west limb. X-class flares are the most powerful of all solar events. Seen here is an image of the flare captured by the X-ray telescope on Hinode.
