Stacey over @ Slightly Overexposed told me she is organizing a showing of a very interesting film made about the struggle of 5 women in Haiti. Donations are being collected to aid the people of that wonderful island nation!
Poto Mitan: Fundraiser for Haiti
Thursday, February 18, 8-10pm at Oval Film
A gripping documentary told through the lives of five courageous Haitian women, Poto Mitan gives the global economy a human face. Each woman’s story sheds light on inhumane working conditions, violence, lack of education and poor health care.
$10 donations will go to Partners In Health, working closely with the Haitian earthquake victims. As part of your donation, enjoy a delicious cupcake from local fave Butter Lane. Open to ages 18+
