Science Performance
Terra Nova: Sinfonia Antarctica

Listen to the sounds of glaciers melting at this multimedia performance by Paul D. Miller (DJ Spooky) that’s co-presented with the Margaret Mead Film & Video Festival this month. Terra Nova: Sinfonia Antarctica was inspired by actual sound recordings of ice melting made by Miller in a recording studio that he took with him to Antarctica. The program includes research data, samples of the work in progress, and archival footage from the American Museum of Natural History’s special collections.
Time: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Place: American Museum of Natural History, Milstein Hall of Ocean Life, Central Park West and West 79th St.
Price: $25
