A Tree Grows in… the Bronx
There’s no shortage of free, interesting things to do in New York during the summer, but the Tree Museum definitely deserves to be near the top of the list. Katie Holten created this public art exhibit to celebrate the communities and ecosystems along the Grand Concourse in the Bronx. There’s a long row of 100 trees, each containing a recording of a narrative of one of the areas former or current residents, including beekeepers, rappers, historians, school kids, and more. Viewers/listeners can visit the exhibit any time until October 12.
