Tuesday June 2Brains in Love vs. Brains in Lust
Need a little romantic insight? According to Lucy Brown and Helen Fisher, brains in lust and brains in love don’t look much alike. Tonight, these two distinguished scientists discuss some of their favorite research into the difference between spring flings and life-long partnerships. They’ve used fMRI to see what blood flow patterns in the brain can show us about the neural circuitry involved in these fundamental aspects of human relationships. RSVP by May 27.
Time: 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Place: Hartley House, in the theater, 413 W. 46th St. bet. 9th and 10th Ave.

and just to show how interesting this talk may be (they most definitely will be discussing new ideas they have developed) here is a TED.com moment with Dr. Fisher.
