sci fi musing

I wonder why there haven’t been more basic sci fi stories about the rigors of space? or exploration for that matter? take for example the story of canadian Astronaut (or would that be space worker?) Judith Lapierre, who accused her russian shipmate of sexual harassment and sexual assault during a long term isolation study? Having fatal attraction on earth is one thing, but imagine it on the space station? And it doesn’t have to be bogged down in a tech obsessed script. It could do what sci fi, does so well: make the viewer understand a human condition they otherwise may not have understood in a regular context.

on another note, sci fi channel rebranding itself as syfy to shed geek chic is SUPER lame.
