MUSIC: Baby Copperhead, Pwrfl Power (pictured) and Cap Lori are at the Cameo tonight. We highly recommend going for Pwrfl Power (aka Kazutaka Nomura), who charmed us with earnest electric guitar rock at our CMJ show last year. Give a listen here.
8 p.m. // The Cameo [93 N 6th St, Williamsburg]
EVENT: Housing Works Thrift Shops’ 5th Annual Design on a Dime fundraising event will kick off with a VIP reception tonight at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Get the first public look at the room vignettes, enjoy exclusive preview shopping, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and live entertainment. Plus, the night is being hosted by Parker Posey and will feature special appearances by Jaclyn Smith and Ty Pennington.
6 p.m. // Metropolitan Pavilion [125 West 18th St] // Tickets
FEASTING: Tonight Grand Central hosts Grand Gourmet, the annual neighborhood restaurant showcase in Vanderbilt Hall to benefit the Grand Central Neighborhood Social Services Corporation, which they say is the largest not-for-profit homeless services provider in New York City. There will literally be a smorgasbord of food to devour and beverages to imbibe, prepared by more than 30 of Midtown Manhattan’s best restaurants, including but not limited to La Fonda Del Sol, Public House New York, Fat Annie’s Truck Stop, The Palm West, and Nios. Cocktails will be mixed by The Campbell Apartment, coffee poured from Joe The Art of Coffee, and vino flowing from Southern Wine & Spirits of New York.

CRAFTS: 3rd Ward and Spacecraft Brooklyn have teamed up with STC Craft, Etsy.com and Bags for the People to host Craft on Draught: Get Felt Up at our Springtime Social. No, it’s not what you think: it’s a craft night! “Come to this crafty social mixer to celebrate the soon-to-come death of sweater-wearing, and the dawn of more parties, bbqs, picnics and frisky biz! We’ll provide you with pre-felted, recycled sweaters and crafting tools, and instructions to make felted drink coasters and cozies. And, if you have the means, feel free to bring along your own pre-felted ugly Xmas sweaters!”
7 to 10 p.m. // 3rd Ward [195 Morgan Ave, Brooklyn] // $10, $5 with a friend
