The 4706th dorkbot-nyc meeting will take place at 7pm on Wednesday, February 4th, 2009 at Location One in SoHo.

Update: It was a great and inspiring show. The three presentations were good demonstrations why this event is so compelling; it is the true DIY spirit. Take a look at the last presentation in particular. As a person who hates the culture of throwing away electronic devices, I felt that Hans-Christoph Steiner’s reware project would be a great addition to high school shop and technology classes.

Large X-class Flare Erupts on the Sun
On Jan. 27, 2012, a large X-class flare erupted from an active region near the solar west limb. X-class flares are the most powerful of all solar events.
